I made a batch of these little beauties today. Of course they were for Nathans work and not me. They are so easy and delicious though. In fact I recall a certain someone calling them, "food for the Gods."

Anyways here is the recipe, in case you need a quick and easy treat.
OREO TRUFFLES
1 package of Oreos
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (use the good stuff)
1 package Vanilla almond bark (you use about 15-20 ounces but the package usually comes in 24 ounces)

Take the package of Oreos and smash them up until they are finely grated. I usually take 5 or 6 at a time and blend them in a blender. One the whole package is blended up cut the cream cheese into small squares. Mix together the cream cheese and blended Oreos. I usually just throw them both in my kitchen aid and mix them until the mixture is like a paste and everything is clumped together. You don't want to actually be able to see any of the cream cheese, it should all be mixed in.

Take the oreo/cream cheese mixture and roll into small balls. Put the balls on a cookie sheet and stick them in the freezer for 10 or 15 minutes.

Melt the vanilla almond bark. You can do this however you want but i usually just melt it in the microwave for a minute or so on power level 6 or 7. It burns easily though so you have to stir and watch it. Then dip the oreo/cream cheese balls in the vanilla almond bark one by one. Place them back on the tray and put them in the fridge for an hour or so and they are ready to serve.

  1. Derek wants you to make him some right now, you better come back to Idaho and get on that. I love Nate's sunburn, it fits his personality.
