Nathan's mom taught us how to make stained glass! It was really fun but a lot more work and a few more steps than i was wanting. Luckily though we love the finish product, even if it isn't perfect.

Mini Baja!

Saturday my dad and two sisters came to visit. Luckily that was the same day Nathan and his SAE buddies were taking the mini baja out for a test drive. The goal was to break as many things as possible and find all the weak spots on the car. We all had such a fun time trying to wreck the car... well until Hana decided to actually wreck it. Hana took it off a pretty steep cliff and when she landed the front left axle (i think) broke and that was the end of the joy rides.
I think the best part was how much fun (see picture above) my old dad had driving it. He was better than a little kid in a candy store. What a great way to spend the weekend with my family.

A few sundays ago we forgot to bring our keys with us to church... consequently when we got home we were locked out. While i was sitting on the stairs wondering what we should do about the problem Nathan had the great idea to JUMP from the balcony to the window, and then proceeded to try and break in while hanging from a very tiny practically non existent ledge while he busted the screen out. Of course i was paranoid that he would fall and die but after a few minutes he managed to get the screen out and pull himself inside our apartment. Looking back we both can't figure out how he actually managed to break in and not fall or get hurt. Its always such an adventure with Nathan around!

Welcome to the Wilcoxson Winery! Last weekend we headed down to Spanish Fork to make grape juice. Nathan's Grandpa has a yard full of grapes so we spent an hour picking grapes and then we steamed them into grape juice. The whole process was amazing and so much fun... oh and did i mention FREE (thats always my favorite part)! I think in the end we made about 70 bottles of grape juice. Luckily there were plenty of people to give them away to but we still ended up with all these.

Here are some pictures from our trip to D.C. back in Aug! We had such a good time! We love the east coast and wouldn't mind living there some day. We also really appreciate the generosity of the family members who made this trip possible and so much fun. (mainly my dad!)
For some reason the first picture won't turn around... i dunno

Something Meaningful

Just Read this Talk... Its absolutely WONDERFUL! Even after the 100th time its still great!
Concern for the One
Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
Here is a preview...
“Shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad. Let the earth break forth into singing. . . .
“ . . . Let the woods and all the trees of the field praise the Lord; . . . and let all the sons of God shout for joy!”
5
For you members of the Church who hold back because of feelings of inadequacy, I plead with you to step forward, put your shoulder to the wheel, and push. Even when you feel that your strength can add little, the Church needs you. The Lord needs you. Remember that the Lord often chooses “the weak things of the world” to accomplish His purposes.6

How risky is it to buy contacts online?

Politics

I am a pretty political person... and therefore i have to say this. Health care is not a RIGHT it's a PRIVILEGE. I also think Americans need to stop thinking they are entitled to things just because they were born... the world owes you nothing.

Eating Disorder...

You know you have an eating disorder when two people continually accumulate this many dishes every night...and yes i use my dishwasher as a drying rack. I still wash them by hand, probably always will.

Movie Time!

Since Nathan and i got our new TV we have been watching lots of movies... and we love it! But i need to put a plug in for our new favorite movie place. Its called Great American Video and they rent edited movies! Its so great because they are only $2.00 for a night (almost as cheap as redbox)! The problem is if they don't get more business they are going to close and that would be so sad because we just love them! So if your in Rexburg stop and visit Great American Video.

I couldn't have done it without my best friend at my side. I love you NATEY ROY! and i am excited for all the wonderful years we have to come!

I Never WIN things! But Today i won something! My good friend Jessic Kingsford is the most amazing Mary Kay consultant, (not pushy, easy going, fun to be around, honest, tells you things how they really are... you know the kind of salesman you love but can never seem to find) Well she had a Mary Kay party and she was giving away a Coach BAG! and we all know i LOVE LOVE LOVE (LUST) Coach! So they had a drawing at the end of the party. They put all the names in a Hat... then picked one out... and then called HEIDI WILCOXSON! I wanted to scream i was so excited! and that is how i won this beautiful Coach Purse.

Another project....

Today i finished another project. My Grandma used to make stockings like this for all her kids... but she died a long time ago and so there was no one to make one for Nathan. And of course i took on the challenge and challenge it was. There were 120 steps that all had to be hand sewn. Now i am just waiting for the school sewing lab to open to embroider Nathans name...

Saturday morning i woke up with the urge to do something a little modern with this boring white wall.
So after a trip to D. I. and a can of spray paint this was the result... I am kind of excited about the end of the Old Lady decor.

We are officially moved... oh but that is not the exciting thing. Not only did we move this week but Nathan finally built me a coffee table. Being on a small budget of $12.00 we carefully scoped out the best 2x4's we could find. After we finished at the lumber yard we proceeded to the Bishops fancy woodshop to start our masterpiece. Neither Nathan or I had any idea of what we were going to create but we got started in cutting and sanding... and wala a few days later out came this!

Washington D.C.

Last week while in Washington D.C. we were lucky enough to visit all the memorials and monuments. When we stopped at the World War II memorial we came across these little signs all around the pool.

We then came across all of these people who were wading in the water. You probably can't tell but at least half of them have at least their dirty feet in the water and some are in past their knees.

I was blown away by this scene. Are Americans really that disrespectful that they would put their dirty sweaty gross feet in a fountain created in memorial of all those who died in saving lives and protecting our freedom?

Other than that the memorial was beautiful and such an awesome sight! I would highly reccomend the adventure out to D.C. just to pay tribute to all those who have given their lives for what we call America.

All things electronic!

All things electronic are about to be banned from this house! A few weeks ago my ipod broke and died for no reason..... a week ago Nathans laptop broke and died for no reason (he treats it so well and has taken such good care of it) and then today.... my phone broke and died for no reason. I feel so lost i can't communicate with ANYONE! I know its sad that i am this attached to a cell phone but really i feel like i am running around with my head chopped off. So we are no longer allowed to buy electronics. This house has to learn to live without.

Last night we finally went camping. Our air mattress was just a little bit too big but after a few minutes the boss managed to close the tent... he asked if this was really neccesary and I reassured him that it was in his best interest to figure out a way to make the air mattress fit. So he did.

Everything was perfect, the weather was great, the company was fun, and the food was even better!

Seven Peaks

Nathan and I had the best break from school this weekend! It was so nice to A. be out of Rexburg and B. be off of BYU-Idahos campus for a weekend.
Friday night we ended up going to Seven Peaks water park in Provo... Now i love water parks but i am not one to dish out the money they normally cost. So friday when my sister called and said she had some random friend that new someone that was friends with someone (you know how those things go) who knows the owners of Seven Peaks and they are opening up the park at 8:30 for this girl and her friends, free of charge of course we couldn't turn down the offer. So friday we drove down to Utah and went to Seven Peaks, no lines, no lifeguards, no charge, and off course heated water! It was probably the most exciting thing we have done all summer! So thank you seven peaks and thank you Maggie (whoever you are) for having a birthday!

Here is the FINISHED product! I am so happy with how it turned out. Since it isn't winter and we don't have any coats to hang I decided to decorate a few frames and hang them on the rack instead... I haven't finished decorating them yet so thats all we have until I have some more time.

I just thought i would show everyone the latest Wilcoxson project... Last weekend Nathan built a massive play set for some friends. Nathan and i just love this family and they have the cutest kids! I actually babysat for them in the Winter when i was off track and loved it. It was fun to see them again and Nathan of course loved playing with them and he loves projects. Nathan didn't exactly know what he was getting into and was more than surprised by how hard it actually was to build this thing. There were so many pieces! Not only that but the directions were so crazy and wrong so many times that it made things a little confusing. I think the hardest part though was that some of the predrilled holes were not drilled right and didn't fit and some of the boards were really warped and hard to make work. Over all we had so much fun... I being the project Manager and Nathan being the Labor.

Summer Time!

It was finally warm outside! The sun had finally started to come out so we decided to go with some friends to Mesa Falls, we thought it would be fun to hike around and have a picnic up there, unfortunantly when we got there the road had not been plowed and we couldn't even get to the upper falls. So we had to settle for hiking through some snow to find our way to a rock wall above the lower falls. It was such a beautiful day and so worth just getting out!
